What!
Transpositions were every pole down here (a quarter turn of the quad, that
is)

Coax screen effectiveness drops off dramatically at lower frequencies- a
well balanced pair will win hands down at VF and quite a bit higher. But
remember that terminations have to be balanced as well-otherwise all bets
are off. Overall performance is determined by the design of both the cable
itself and the balance of the terminations.
