Peter,

What ever happened to those "novice kids in the neighborhood"? I mean the
neighborhood kids having Amateur Radio interests in the year 2003? Anyone
have any figures (or guesses) on the the percapita reduction in Ham Radio
tickets in that age group since the 50s? I suppose the reduction has a lot
to do with the high tech equipment available to the average kid for low $$
(computers, games, CB, FMRS, GMRS, etc, or just good low cost SW radios).

From time to time I get the urge to see if there is any LF interest from the
kids in my neighborhood. These TX loop antennas offer a heck of a lot of
'fun for the buck'. The receiver is the costly item but that may not be much
of a problem for local CW use if I could make available a PCB blank of my
portable SVM circuit.
