[Lowfer] HiFER UWL and The Code

HiFER UWL:
I can't wait any longer.  The mail order house says it will be about 10 
more days (!) on my enclosure.  I ordered it from them because I like this 
enclosure, and adding it put me over the 
minimum-order-for-no-"service-charge" limit.  But I can't wait that long!  
I'm going to put the beacon together in a temp fashion until the enclosure 
arrives.  Again, hope to be up by the end of the weekend.  I'm going to 
try to squeeze into the 13555 group.

The Code:
Ok boys -- you're not going to believe this:  I may be the only person in 
the history of history to learn Morse solely by logging NDBs!  Seriously, 
the code is really coming along now.  The XYL happened by my stenno pad 
with the code on it, picked it up and gave me an impromptu test.  She was 
giving me the letters and asking me to tell her the dits and dahs.  I knew 
more than I thought -- surprised myself.  And these beacons send faster 
than the 5 WPM I heard the guy take (and fail) when I was taking my tech 
test.

Hope to see you all on HF soon :)  Maybe just a couple more weeks!!!
