RE: R75 question
Tom,
Being an LF newbie you may not realize that John Andrew's endorsement of the
R75 carries no small amount of weight in the Lowfer community. He has set
some pretty impressive records with that receiver.
I, too, have owned an R75 for about 2 1/2 years (in fact I bought mine after
seeing John's) and 'Second' all the comments John made in his reply. I did
not purchase the High Stability option but find after an hour warm-up there
is virtually no measurable drift - and we are talking mostly ARGO usage
which can bring out receiver drift of only 0.1 Hz.
If you are looking for a 'Best Buy' check out E-Bay. There's an active
reflector for R75 users at [email protected].

PS: Jay R, another fellow TX looper, beside John, also uses an R75. This
obviously indicates the R75 is the 'thinking man's' receiver! (or is it the
'looped man's' receiver?) <G>
