NOT. My 45' vertical has the ends of the 72' flattop about 25 or 30' off the
ground. It is buried in the trees and still makes an occasional 1,304-mile
trip.
Now if that dang horizontal loop would have worked...

Bill,
If drooping top hat radials reduce the antenna's effective height NC has
been running a 25 foot antenna all season. Think I should remove the 6
drooping wires and go for a full 15 meter antenna?
