Sorry, just couldn't resist! Think is was Mike S that had some success with 
not much more for an antenna on the Medfer band. If you work out the math 
you have a .05 sq ft aperture compared to 2500 sq ft for a 50/50 loop. 
That's -94db, which would be a range of about .004 miles or 21ft.

You WILL be on the RG-8 tonight, right?
