Sometimes you get those deep and narrow crotches that snag the small stuff
but the bigger wire slides right over. Pulling up #8 for example is best
done by forming a loop by taping the end back on itself for a distance of
about 8". The blunt nose of this loop seems to slide by just about any
obstruction. Also, there are certain ways to jerk on the leader so the limb
bounces enough to relieve tension on the trapped wire.
BTW, I'll be coming back to a town near you in early January. Shall I pack
the compound bow so we can put up an E/W loop? Of course all children,
neighborhood pets, stray cats, and birds will have to be quarantined for the
event. <G>
