Two:

1. As Alberto describes, a microphone input has excess gain for your
application, in the range of 20 to 30 dB. It may also have a DC bias --
check that, and provide a coupling capacitor if needed. I would suggest
taking the receiver output through a 22k resistor, and then putting a 680
ohm resistor to "ground." If needed, use a 1 uF cap from the 680 ohm
resistor to the sound card input.
