the makers of notebooks have found another corner to cut to spare a
few cents, and that is
the line input. If you buy today a notebook, you will find that it has a
microphone inpur, but not
a line input. The audio coming from an R75, or any other radio, is too
strong for the mike input,
and tends to saturate it, even at low volume settings. The best bet is
to build an attenuator,
let's say 20:1, using a couple of resistors. I think that 18 kohm plus
1 kohm could do, though
I haven't tried it.
