I began as a 13 year old ham with an interest in radio and building- pretty
common in the early 60's (some of you guys more versed in math can work
backwards and guestimate my current age). Today's ham is interested in
talking, not building or experimenting- except perhaps with different
microphones.
The real builders/ experimenters appear to be collecting at both extremes- LF
and uWave.
