I agree with you, Peter ... most of the hams I've met are older...some are
REAL old ... like 40 or more...

Like you guys it is a mystery to me why there isn't more interest. I have
a tough time getting others interested even though I try. What is, to me,
even MORE amazing, is the lack of interest in LF among HAMS! One would
think that while LowFERing may not appeal to the average Joe, hams SHOULD
be "ate up" with it. Seems as if it would draw folks who have an interest
in radio already. There are bazillions of people on HF, which means they
have at least a general ticket, which means that they must surely have
more than a passing interest in radio.
But maybe not.
To me it is absolutely incredible the lack of LowFERs. When some of you
FARTs pass on, it is _really_ going to be lonely. :(
