I considered that first Bill- maybe Dex had a KW on it last night and tonight!
Getting the KW up and running 2 weeks back could have been the start of the
power outage.
I need to take time to look at some NDB's that I had previously logged to see
if they too are enhanced.
I had been monitoring NC for several weeks on a daily basis with the 7' loop at
4'. Dex and I agreed that my best capture (QRSS60 speed) at that time was most
likely NC, but not good enough for a positive ID.
The loop is on a hill side with quite a slope- perhaps 20 degrees running up to
the west and down to the east. An 8X12' metal roofed shed is about 15' away
from the loop on the south side. Raising the loop gets almost all of it above
the shed.
A I stated previously, NC (due east of me)is now identifiable all day long and
into the early evening. Enhancement at 0000 UTC is outrageous- I keep thinking
I am hearing the signal in addition to seeing a nice solid white trace on Argo.
No conclusions as to whether this is stronger signal or less noise at this
point.
I'll have more time after Shelby to do some NDB comparisons.
