Two days ago I purchased a 589 mH solenoid from the junkyard. It is wound
with #16 enameled wire. The resistance is 10 ohms. Before I tear it apart to
get the #16 wire for use on HF I thought I should see if it is of interest
to the Lowfer community. The solenoid is a multi-layer, air core winding and
weighs 31 pounds.
