	I've forgotten AZ's frequency, but a few months ago I used to copy him
so strong in the LA area that he worked the S meter on the receiver at
times.  Usually was there by about 8:00 AM and lasted at least through
mid-afternoon.  Copy by ear was at least as good as copy with Sectran. 
When a signal's big enough faster CW is sure easier for me.  That was
the impression we out west had for lowfer beacons as well. Around 10 wpm
seemed to be good.
