[Lowfer] curious signal

I watched it quite a bit over the last week. It is on 640Kc +8.4Hz (8.4cps?)
It is 50KW 1A so almost anyone should be able to see it.
The only other similar signal was on 940 from Fresno, CA I think. But that
was closer to a sine wave.
It appears to have some modulation on it mostly on the inner edge of the low
freq. side if that makes any sense. I have seen other stations with weak
tones of 5 to 30 Hz more or less that I guess are telemetering but this
doesn't seem to be that. I assume it is 8.4 Hz high to get it away from
co-channel carriers and that wouldn't be necessary for local purposes. I let
it run for a while at 120 seconds on ARGO and what looks like modulation
shows nicely. Modulation looks analog to me.
