I was pretty well prepared for the General class (or whatever it was
called back then) and passed OK the first time. When I got my Extra
about 25 years later I went down with several fellow engineers (Hughes
Aircraft) who had attended the same (more or less) higher speed code
class than I had. Again did it first time, as did one of the other
guys. However, I was the only one of the three who past the "theory";
two of those guys were senior antenna designers!!!!!
