Ed:
I will be 76 in December so im not too far behind you. Failed the CW test 3
times before I finally passed it. Thought I had a safety margin at 25 WPM
the first time but the old nerves got me so went to 28 and 30 and I said
damn it i'm going to pass if it kills me so finally got up to 35 for the
4th try and the examiner said I can only see one mistake. I'll tell you I
was TEN FEET TALL that day, what a great feeling I don't think I will
forget it as long as I live. I have a brother Floyd, W2NFK, who hates code
and stopped at the general class but as long as he is happy that is all
that counts. I can't believe some of those guys on DX'peditions that send
at 40 WPM.It doesn't take them long to weed out the pile-ups.
Have confirmed all the countries in the world DXCC @ 360 so now fooling
with LW.
Good health to you,
Don
