I give the 185 a definite NO (thought you were asking about 136, only, in 
your earlier post). I have always used the 50ft tall by 50ft diameter 
cylinder measuring stick, so any antenna wider than 50ft is out by this 
interpretation. The math says that a 500ft wide loop, for example, has over 
3 times more signal (10db) than a 50ft wide loop (assuming the same 
conductor throughout). If you beef up the accessible lower half by 
paralleling a number of conductors you can gain about 6 times or about 15db. 
Unfortunately for the vertical the gain in signal for wider top hats is not 
nearly as dramatic. So it shows you why the playing field could get a bit 
'loopsided' unless we follow this rule. yuk yuk
