Vern,
After reading in the RSGB "Low Frequency Source Book" 2nd edition that a
lot of European LF'ers were using the Kenwood TS850-S because it was not
"dead" at LF I purchased one to try and the Specs are as follows.....

0.1-0.5MHz 0.2uV (-121 dBm)
0.5-1.62MHz 4 uV (-95dBm)
1.62-24.5 MHz 0.2uV (-121 dBm)
24.5-30.0 MHz (0.13uV (-125dBm)

So you can see it does "hear" on LF but not that well on the BC band.
Hoping to get antennas back up before winter to get back on LF as the
health has improved considerably even though I am 74 years young the spirit
is still there, hi hi.

Don W2MPK "MPK" on 177.9 when it is back on.
