That's a question I have always asked to myself... is it better to leave the 
primary of the transformer and the single-turn loop floating or to center tap 
it and to connect the center to ground ?
Wouldn't leaving it floating achieve a better noise immunity, just because
you are now not anymore concerned with imperfect balancing (which, more or less,
always is the case) ?

Any thoughts ?
