[Lowfer] AM BC band RX antenna

A ham friend of mine is very interested in AM BC listening and DXing.  I
believe he will also get hooked on LF, maybe this winter.  Having seen
my LF RX loops he asked me what would be a good AM BC antenna.  I
suggested a balanced loop with remote tuning but he presently prefers
not to tune.  I told him I knew where we could get the best
recommendations possible, the experts of LF and MF reception.  What do
you guys recommend?  He probably would like to have the option of both
direct coaxial connection to the receiver and link coupling.  He is also
an avid antique radio collector that loves to play his radios regularly,
many which do not have an external antenna input.
