[Lowfer] Band conditions

Hi Bill,
I bought a bunch of brass hardware today to replace the rusted crap out
there now. I should be able to replace everything tomorrow. I'll put a dab
of Vaseline on every connection so it stays nice and clean this time. I
thought that wrapping it all up in self-fusing tape would have kept it
clean, but after removing a few screws to replace the transformer yesterday
and finding corroded connections, it wasn't good enough. I did clean up what
I had apart and put it back together. I still haven't found my ceramic
feedthru's yet, but I know they are around here somewhere. I'll get them
installed before the winter. Could I build a RX loop out of cat-3 or cat-5
cable??? I have plenty of it here.

It would be interesting to see how a 6ft RX loop and your TX loop compare on
receive, not for sensitivity, but for S/N. Especially since the 6ft loop
could be rotated for lowest noise.

But first straighten out any weirdness you have in the transmitting effort!
