I just might have to hang the loop between two trees with that in mind. Lyle
and his wife stopped by this morning and had a look at the antennas and we
talked about hanging the loop between the trees to make sure it is safe.

I was glad to see the cap will be safe. Thanks to all who mentioned the
dielectric materials to try.

The THHN will probably fail at that power level at LF, because the loss
factor of the insulation is higher than at 60 Hz. As soon as then
insulation becomes hot enough to soften, it becomes pretty well
conductive.  Distance is your friend.
