You are aware that you have to install the step-down transformer and
resonating capacitor right at the loop, right?. Surprising how many think
these components can be located in the shack. (This is Reason 5 on the list
of 10 reasons why 'conventional wisdom' indicates that "TX loops don't work
well at LF" <G>) The problem is that the loop represents an AC load
resistance in the neighborhood of 1 ohm or less and there are huge losses if
you try to transport this value back to the shack. Fact is, it isn't even
legal, per Part 15.

With these gale winds today, shooting an arrow over the tree tops was quite
aggravating!
