I found a source for this part last week for someone and I just now looke=
d at the data sheet. This got me wondering...... Is this used in the outp=
ut of the LW=3DMax? If it is I wouldn't give much hope running near 100% =
efficiency. What is required is a reasonably fast switching stage without=
 a lot of built-in series resistance and slow output transistors (as it a=
ppears this device has).

I suspect the intent of the LW-max was to drive a coax leading to a final=
 near the base of the antenna, so I can't fault the designer - just the u=
sers, who place the computer at the base of the antenna. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm=
