Hi Lewis,

Yes, cross-pol applies at LF too.  Much LowFER reception reception involves
loops and whips, so vertical is covered.  A longwire that is long enough to
act as a wave antenna...same thing.

Skywave can complicate the polarization issue somewhat, of course.
