[Lowfer] LowFer IDs

The amateur callsign with the number on the end would work fine on a CW
beacon, but with the QRSS modes, it is easier to get a screen shot with a
two-character identifier. There is nothing wrong with using Henry's way of
identification if you don't need the whole ID in a single screen shot. This
is just my opinion so flame away!!! Hi Hi.

Part 15 rules because they are not using their calls. What is the
difference between BORG2 and KIJL6? Neither one of them are ham calls but
one gives a lot more information relating to location because of the
tremendous amateur call sign data base that already exists. It's perfectly
legal too. That is unless you are too, too much of a big fat HAM to involve
your ham call some how. I read about some hams too proud to have their
calls involved some how with part 15 VLF activities. What is that all
about? Anyway, should you hear KIJL6 some day around 178 kHz, it shouldn't
take a rocket scientist to figure out where the beacon is located..
I thought the purpose was to provide easy location. Hmm. Stupid me! Lets
keep it a secret so no one can figure out where the beacon is. Now that
sounds like it was well thought out now; doesn't it? No, grid squares are
not accurate enough.

And under what part of the Rules would they be doing this? :-)
