The fellow to ask about this might be W6NSE - Dave Thomas
who lives a few miles South of me.  I believe he used to
have some intimate connection with one of these Navy DF
and commo stations as an operator or tech - not sure if it
was @ Dixon, but will probably have detailed info about it's
operation.  I think NPG may have been decomissioned several
years back, but perhaps that was one of the other stations
I'm recalling...  I remember one of 'em got closed down.

Could have been the SF or Oakland stations that went away :(
