Hi Ralph,
Thanks for the report, I appreciate it.
If You remember my Vertical antenna had blown down when we last worked and
i was using my 160 mtr inverted L antenna
feed line and all and had resonated it with a coil and cap.with link
coupling to the coil. I am now back on my 50 ft.vertical with 10 ft top hat
and 4 ea. 10 ft ground radials with 8 ft ground rod's at end of radials.
apparently my inverted L did a better job. the rig is same except power
supply.
Tomorrow if i thing about it and you are going to be listening i will put it
back on it.
My inverted L is about 150 ft with about 45 ft. vertical.
it is in a pine tree. I have about 75 ft of coax going to the base and i
just use the center conductor and leave the shield floating.on both ends for
1750 mtrs.the coax is mostly horizontal..one other thing the inverted L far
end points east.
Could be the vertical section is radiating and the rest acts like a end
Capacitance.
What do you think ?
Lewis
