    Hello to All,

    Now that the Dreaded June VHF Contest is over, (in which I allways
attempt to compete) I can turn my attention back to the lower end of the
spectrum. I have developed a problem with my HP 3586C Voltmeter.
When I power it up, either from stand by or after unpluging from line
voltage, I get  what I believe to be an error code in the display where the
signal strength should be. During the self test procedure, the letters "
OVLD " appear a couple of times somewhere in the display.   Then it settles
on the letters "E  3.1". Before it comes to rest at this , there is another
"E" which flashes on and off between the "E & 3".
I do not have a manual of any type for this SVM.
    At the suggestion of someone on this list, I removed the top cover and
removed and replaced all the "Boards " with no change in error code.
    Does anyone have any further suggestions, or where I might get this
repaired?
