Wow, I'm happy that's NEVER happened to me! ;)
Have to run, ummmm I need to order some LM 1496's for my Palomar, I mean a
special project!

Seriously, been there done that.  I'm putting a socket in my Palomar,
because I've blown up that chip so many times.
