Paul,

I have the B version also.  I don't know what the difference is between
the B and C model but the C must have a few more features since is cost
a little more.

Mine has a tracking oscillator output jack on the rear.  The output is
about +5 dbm I believe.  This is very useful for finding resonance of an
antenna or for testing filter response.  I wonder if all B models have
this or if it's an option.

I'm interested in your GPS locked time base.  Is it a commercial unit or
based on the Brooks Shera design?
