All,

Thank you all very much for the comments and suggestions. I just got in from
work tonight. Tomorrow will also be busy for me. I have not read them all,
but will before I go to bed. I will respond to each of you by Saturday.

Quick note:
One of the more common themes in your comments was accuracy of my tuning and
my use of Argo. This is quite likely a large part of my problem. Here is
what I do...

I tune the receiver (TS-850) to where I think a Lowfer signal should be. (I
may not be tuning accurately - I am working on this issue)
I have a 500 Hz filter, however, Agro gives me a big white "blob" on the
screen when I use it.
Usually, I end up in the LSB position with the 2.7 KHz filter (Is this
dumb?)
I then just about go blind trying to find a faint line in the screen that
might be a QRSS 60 dash or dot (Should I be able to "see" the weak ones?)
I then click on the line and most times there is nothing to report.
Sometimes, well, I am just not sure. I can't make anything out of it. It is
some kind of signal that is "on / off" keying. I have some screen captures I
will send directly to those that have requested them.

The last few days, I have been listening at about 5:00AM. It is very quiet
here. A few static crashes, but they are quire low in strenght.

Well, once again, thank you very much for the help. I know I will get
there.....

Mark

PS: I did have my mail program on html / rich text. I caused my problem with
the posting.
