You can get all kinds of silver plated Teflon covered stranded wire from
http://www.aircraftspruce.com/main.html. I have ordered several hundred feet
of various sizes for the Searey that I wired 3 years ago. They are an
excellent company to deal with. Your other source would to be found by
talking with the guys at your local Avionics shop at an airport. There is
usually a wire shop in the major cities in many states. Don't rule out
Tefzel wire either; it is tougher Teflon like insulation that is spec'ed in
newer aircraft installations.

Subject: [Lowfer] Teflon Wire Source?
LowFers,
Re: Source of Teflon Covered Wire
Any leads on a source of Teflon wire at a nice cost? Looking for
22-24AWG tin / silver.
Nebraska Sales has it and in 100-500 feet unit costs it's $0.12 [22],
.17 [20] for tin wire, and $0.17 [22], .23 [20] for silver wire, all
above is cost per foot.
When considering a LF loading coil using 220 feet of wire, will the AC
res. reduction of silver warrant the added cost and be significant?
I'm thinking about short, tightly wound LF loading coil, tuns pitch of
1,
L to D of .25 : 1.0.
