Jon,

I own a 6790 and LF performance below 200kHz starts to suffer because of the
ferrite used in the first mixer. I have copied lowfers using the 6790 by
using a loop and pre-amp ahead of the receiver. You can fool the cpu that
controls the vfo by entering the frequency preceded by a 10. Example: you
want 185.150kHz. You punch 10.185.150 <enter> then 0 <enter>. The second
time you enter the 0 it writes that to the MHZ section of the PLL and your
left with 00.185.150. Simple eh. The only drawback, when you turn the vfo
knob it defaults to 500kHz. You can however change modes and BFO pitch with
no problem.
