[Lowfer] Medfer TX Loop Question(s)??

You know what I think, who cares if it is a bit big. As long as someone
doesn't crank up a big amp, there won't be an interference problem. I bet
many a Lowfer antenna is bootleg anyhow. Just so it doesn't get out of hand.
I hope the band goes amateur this year.

Bob,
Assume you are talking about ~185k? I'd love to measure RG-8 at my new loop
location. Anyone like to ship me or drop off 200ft just for the test?
By the way if the rain stays away this afternoon WA will be up and down to
for comparisons with different loop conductors. Plan to have this completed
by tomorrow night and flying 4 x #12 over the full 200ft. (for you purists,
trouble markers, or just plain low-down ornery folk: that's "15m max"
geometric "length" in both horizontal and vertical directions).

When talking about rac and loop wire resistance, would it not be worth it
to try some old RG-8 coax using the shield as the conductor (heck, use
both the inner conductor and shield together). That should have a pretty
low resistance and be a lot cheaper then Litz.
