This might be the final phase of testing the current antenna system. I
have changed the configuraytion again slightly. I eliminated the two 15
foot top hat wires. They were drooping down to about half the antenna
height which is probably not real desirable. The remaining hat wire
(the 50 foot long one that runs to the tower and variable cap) is now
elevated so it runs straight horizontal rather than sloping all the way
towards the ground. From the end of the horizontal run at the tower, it
drops straight down to the variable cap. Since the two 15 foot wires had
such a small capacity, removing them had little effect on the tuning.

What I notice is that if I tune the system to resonance at 166.5 using the
Z-bridge (where it shows pure resistive 50 ohms) the transmitter does not
like it and I get very little current (less than 100ma). If I tune it for
max current (800ma) the two frequencies are about 3 kHz apart. Max current
is also where I get maximum brilliance of neon bulb near the capacitor.
At this point I can't get a decent reading on the bridge so I really have
no idea what the actual impedance is to calculate power out. But that's
what I tune it for - max current.

I will have BT on QRSS 60 again tonight. Hopefully some of you that copied
it before can try again and see if there's any change in signal.
