[Lowfer] Coil question - Bowers

Hey Bill,
Well it's my phrasing. But I was referring to the relative spacing
between the wire. The phrase I recall was "two wire diameters apart,"
that's a chunk=o-space between windings. One can say that apart is space
between something, no? Confusing.
But my main interest is what is the basis for these two disparate views
from two mavens of the LF art? Two different things are being said on
the same topic.
Ideas?

Peter,
Is there a chance that this "large departure" is just your definition
of
coil wire spacing? One definition is the center-to-center spacing and
the
other is the edge-to-edge spacing. "Two wire diameters" would equal one
wire
diameter edge-to-edge spacing. I've been caught on this one before.
