You have the same current ratio I used to get back in my 'vertical period' 
when the temp dropped from above freezing to below 15 degrees. I finally 
concluded it was mostly due to the sap in the trees (even closer to the top 
hat on average than yours) flowing into the root system. Some of it was also 
due to the soil introducing lower loss as it becomes dryer. But let's not 
turn this into a 'soil-loss circus' like the other reflector is going 
through at the moment.

Very strange about the input current not changing. Did you happen to look at 
the waveform out of the final? That could tell a story.
