I would like to use an 2K:16 ohm audio xfmr to isolate the rx from the
pc and soundcard.

Plan to use the Line Out of the rx and Line In of the pc. The pri side
(2k) will connect to the soundcard; the other to the pc. That isolates
the common ground path for I/O, but is the audio ratio right?

I think it would be better with a lower ratio, say, 600/600, 1000/1000,
but is it required?

Lastly, might attenuation be needed into the soundcard, say, a 2k pot
across the Line In? Or a small fixed attn. pad?
