I think you will be happy with the 3586C. I have a 3586B, and have 
gotten a lot of use out of it. I have mentioned this on this forum 
before, but I'll repeat it. It pays to take a peak at the power supply 
board on these units. There is a battery on this board that can go bad 
and leak. That is what happened to mine. The acid ate its way through 
the board, and also destroyed the electrolytic capacitors on the board. 
With much patience, I was able to replace the caps, and repair the 
paths on the board with little pieces of paper clips. (A new board is a 
coupla hundred bucks). In my case, I never replaced the battery, which 
just means it doesn't remember where it was when it was shut off. Not a 
big deal for me. I would check this battery once in awhile to make sure 
it doesn't leak and damage stuff.
