I'm thinking, that in my situation, building two finals would be the best 
way to go. One, a small high-efficiency switching amp located out in the 
woods, just like I have now, but with TO-220 transistors (maybe 
MJE15028/30?) mounted to a plate for heat sinking. The other would be a 
class B final located in the shack - which would become part of the heating 
system of course.
