Zoli,

Your intended efforts with LogPlus are very good to hear. I have
continued to use LogPlus as my logging system after trying several other
Windows-based log applications. I have kept a Windows 98SE computer running well
past its normal retirement solely to run LogPlus V4 and periodically copy the
applicaiton to my XP computer after new QSO updates. As LogPlus is now,
all its features that I use work on my XP computer except statistical updates
which lock up with the much higher processor speeds. I have run into
other issues when slowing down significantly the XP processor speed for running
LogPlus and decided to keep my primary LogPlus on a Windows 98 computer..

For a hobby project, I believe the three phase approach you mentioned is
well founded and your scope for Phase 3 would address some presently major
shortfalls, particularly CAT for newer rigs and ADIF and LOTW export. A
more minor but desirable modification I would like is extending the date range
for the Yearly QSO Statistics under QSL Card Management. It is presently
fixed at 1970 to 2009. I would like to see it open ended but if fixed year
dates make coding easier, 1900 to 2100 should cover any log date
requirements for a long time.

Thanks for your efforts to keep LogPlus alive.

73,

Paul - K4FPF
