[LogPlus] The End

It looks like I am going to finally move on also.
I was waiting patiently for the Windows version of LogPlus but it looks
like it will never be forthcoming. From the tone of Bob's note I'm
inferring he's been pestered by one or a few people, and is just fed up
with dealing with people. My former career was my family's restaurant
and I can honestly say I don't miss dealing with that 5% of the public
that used to just drive me nuts. I'm sure my wife doesn't miss how
angry they made me either...
In light of the nonexistent future of Windows LogPlus does DX4WIN or any
other logging program import the county information instead of the date,
time, freq, callsign?
I was able to import my LogPlus DB into BV6, and then into Logger but
the county information is not imported.
I have around 2700 counties worked (some many times) so I don't want to
manually enter each county.
I guess I could dust off the Java or C programming books from college
then write a program to convert the LogPlus ADIF numerical county
information into the format logger is looking for but I would prefer to
use or buy something that is already written (I'm an OS390 / unix
programmer so I spend enough time writing code and testing/proving
results at work).
If there's another Windows logging program that any of you has used to
import your log into with all the qso information intact please let me
know...
Thanks and 73,

Subject: [LogPlus] The End
In light of the posting to the LogPlus web site, I guess it is time for
those of us who were dedicated enough to stick it out this long, (had
Logplus when it came on a few 360k disk's) to move on to bigger and
better
things. At least we got an explanation this time and everything just
didn't
disappear!!!!!! Kinda felt like a prom date last time..
Since Bob did not send anything out in 2003, I don't feel like I owe HIM
anything either. I do want to thank those in the group who continue to
answer questions and attempt to help those that continue to use this
program
that at one time, in my opinion, was the best there was.
Any suggestions on a program that imports Logplus files with ease and is
as
user friendly? I am ready to purchase the "LogPlus Patch" and move onto
something else..
