Grant,
The message you received directly from me today and the
one posted to the LogPlus Reflector ( Copied below)
I NEVER SENT EITHER MESSAGE RECENTLY !!!!
I posted this messge to the reflector over 2 or more years ago!
Somehow someone has busted into old message archives and is resending
it with an attachment which I asssume is a VIRUS !!!
Has anyone else gotten similar messages with attachments????
73, Dennis N6KI
Here's the 2 year old message someone is resending, I have just
done a text copy and have not forwarded so no attachment
that may have had possible virus is attachment
"""Just switched to Ver 4.
I hadn't used Ver 3 in couple years either so had to start from scratch
trying to figure things out.......
I probably won't use VER 4 for a while but only reason I want to get it
working on my 950 is I am trying to help a ham in Mexico running
a TS-850 and Packet with Ver 4, I recently installed for him.
Bob was kind enough to get us going but as you know, with no
index in the manual and commands scattered all over, it's
real dificult to get some of the bells and whistles going.
And I HAVE Read manual from cover to cover several times......
Stll can't get radio control to function
Running TS-950SDX
At one moment it worked and my log showed freq and changed when I tuned
the 950.
I then went to work getting Packet Working, it works fine.
There is no PORT conflict
I am running packet on COM1 and Radio on COM2 and program verifies this.
I set radio parameters at 4800 N 8 1 (also tried 4800 N 8 2)
(All my other programs use 4800 baud rate for my Kenwood 950)
Can't figure out what I did while setting up packet that now caused radio
control not to function.
If someone out there is running V4 with a 940 or a 950 radio, I sure
would
wouldn't mind spending a dime on the phone and see if we can figure what
parameter
isn't set up right.
I am using the Kenwood IF-232C external unit with the 950

Dennis N6KI"""
