I best squealch this before it gets too bad!!

I'm not getting rid of packet...no way... I use it continuously myself.
What I was talking about is this -

	Why do we need to see the packet entry DX de N7XR: VK9NS
14000.1    TEST     <0001Z>

To me, that is a waste of screen space. Why not have it in a folder
display -

	DX Spots
	0001Z VK9NS 14000.1 .....etc...

	WWV
	info here..

	talks
	info here.

	I bet 90% of you guys don't care about WWV many of you don't use
the talk feature but possibly 1 % of the time.

	If I can create an area this size

	=====================

	to take care of ALL of those features rather than

===================================================================

	Doesn't that make sense?

Just a thought...

Bob

Bob,

Packet is EXTREMELY important to a DXer especially in today's world with
TELNET. If a rare one is spotted it only takes about a minute before
there is a BIG pileup. If that's one you need and you are a minute or
more late seeing the spot, then plan to spend some time in the seat
chasing it.

I notice the only difference between (A)LOGGING WITHOUT PACKET and
(B)LOGGING WITH PACKET in the Logbook Menu is that the upper half of the
screen changes....all info on the lower half of the screen is the same
in both modules. I would suggest a HOT KEY in the LOGGING WITHOUT
PACKET module so you could toggle the packet on/off. Only the upper
half of the screen would change. This would satisfy both those who want
packet and those who do not while also saving screen space.
