Vin, try using the Legacy drivers for you FT1000D. I had the same problem and used the Legacy driver for my IC765 and no more problem with resets, etc.

Hello All,

I run LOGic 8.0.104 with a Yaesu FT-1000D and FIF-232C CAT System. From the time I open LOGic until I close out of it, I get the following message:

Yaesu FT-1000 (com1)
A timeout occurred while attempting to communicate with a rig.
Make sure a rig is turned on and check cabling and setup parameters.

POLLING DISABLED. 0 characters in buffer.

In order to have the radio communicate with LOGic, I have to go to TOOLS > Reset radio and Rotor Interface.

I can be sitting in front of the radio just listening and the message will pop up and I lose communication with the radio and LOGic.

My parameters are:

Radio 1: FT 1000 (6.0 or later ROM)
Port: com1
Baud rate: Ø (should this be 4800?)
Stop Bits: 2
DTR and RTS both are checked.
Polling interval in seconds (polled rigs only): 2.0

Anyone experience the same problem?

Thanks,
Vin, 73
