[LOGic] K9JM CI-V Router

Thanks for the reply Peter. I've been using Logic since ver4 or 5 I think
and also have used TRX-Manager for many years. From time to time mostly when
a new version of Logic came out I would have a problem but Dennis was always
able to figure out what was up and make the corrections needed. This time
I'm afraid this might be a little different. Logic works with my old set up
which was 3 ICOM radios, a PW-1 amp and the SteppIR antenna. Every once in a
while I had a data collision that caused the PW-1 to change bands when the
radio it was connected to had not changed bands which I think is symptomatic
of data crashes. I surfed around the forum today and didn't find anything
relating to the K9JM router. So I sent a detailed e-mail to Dennis with a
couple of screen shots of error messages that have appeared while attempting
to use the router. I'm sure Dennis will get back to me sometime next week.
I don't think I've ever heard of OmniRig but I'll do a Google search a see
what that is all about.
BTW the router works with TRX-Manager just fine so I thinking it should work
with Logic as well.

G'Day,
I have no experience with the K9JM router. I am using Logic 9, and have
been using Logic and TRX Manager for many years.
I have had some problems with driving the radio directly from Logic. My
Elecraft K3s do not like direct connection to Logic.
Using TRX Manager to drive the radio, and using DDE from Logic, works very
well. Usually, many more features of the radio are implemented in TRX
Manager.
Using OmniRig to drive the radio, and DDE from Logic, also works very well.
I am using OmnRig because it allows multiple programs to connect to the
radio - DX Monitor, DXLab Commander, Logic and many other tools - all at the
same time. Each sees the radio frequency, mode etc, and can tune the radio
as needed.
If you are still having a problem, register, and ask your question on the
Logic Forum at http://www.hosenose.com/forum .

Has anyone running LOGic8 or 9 had any successes using the K9JM CI-V Router.
I can get Logic to read the radio freq upon boot up of Logic but the radio
won't respond to any other commands from Logic. On some occasions it won't
even find the comm port. The router works with TRX Manger with no problems.
