[LOGic] Misc. Stuff RE 2 MONITORS

Still more strange behavior...I don't know if the culprit is LOGic, Windows
(7 x 64), the video card software, or what. I suspect LOGic is at least PART
of the problem, as the issue only seems to occur when LOGic is running,
other apps don't behave strangely, such as:
a) I occasionally "lose" an application! Can't be found on either monitor #1
or monitor #2, but I know the app is running because I can see its presence
in task manager or LOGic shows it as an open task in its "Window" dropdown.
Typical lost applications are Web Cluster DX Summit (but curiously, NOT Web
Cluster DX Summiy Again #2), HAMCAP, and once I lost the entire LOGic
cluster!
b) I have been playing with switching monitors #1 and #2 as "main display"
(this is what has the task bar), and I have been moving ham apps and non-ham
apps around to see what best suits my needs. This is how I discovered that
some sub-windows were "lost".
c) Apparently there are several ways to access dual monitor control...WIN7
has inherent function when you rightclick the desktop and select Screen
Resolution. Even if you don't change the resolution you can identify
screens, change settings and select screen. Similarly, rightclicking the
desktop also has an option for the graphics card software which has same
choices as WIN7 but also expanded choices. I suspect there may be some
conflict between the two, and there's a chance that LOGic may not always be
looking for ht place (ie LOGic doesn't know the virtual desktop layout).
d) I had a power outage today, which caused the PC to shutdown ungracefully.
WIN7 rebooted OK, but it took a few restarts to get things back on track,
then required more moving windows around to the correct screen. In doing
this exercise I discovered more "lost" pieces. I went back to defaults
basics (monitor #1 is main screen) and seem to have recovered everything.
Has anyone had experience with mutli monitors under the conditions we've
been discussing? Anyone know why apps are getting "lost"? Any foolproof ways
to recover lost pieces or set up in a bulletproof way?
Tnx es 73

It just occurred to me, my software allows me to select Primary & Secondary
monitors.
For no special reason my brain says to logically select BOTTOM monitor as #1
and TOP monitor as #2.
At present, my rig control (Flex) and few other accessories are on the
bottom, LOGIC and other accessories are on the top...not sure where I realy
need the extra mouse "focus", but I assume by switching monitor priorities I
might be able to push the envelope a little? Will give it a try...

Thanks for the help with the monitors and scroll wheel Dan.
I have seen this reported before. Yes, they should behave the same, but
there is nothing we can do about it. The map us being totally rewritten
in .NET so I suspect it will not be a problem. The current one is in VB6.
