[LOGic] Dymo

I think we're saying the same thing...but let me clarify.
I've never used a Dymo or other label maker; only thing I've done that I'm
moderately satisfied is to print sheets of Avery (or equiv.) labels; I find
the 1"x2-5/8" size works well for me, and most of the standard LOGIC reports
(with the exception of the one I mentioned earlier) keep it well formatted.
Doing a handful of QSL's is easy, but sometimes I'll do a batch of 60 or
more (2+ full sheets of labels). I agree, it's difficult to keep all the
info straight...I think here a label maker would not be up to the volume and
make it more difficult with the clerical tasks, altho some here on the list
swear by the label makers.
FWIW, if I have multiple QSO's with the same station, I try to select one of
the 3x or 4x QSO reports. If I forget, or exceed the limits of the report,
I'll put multiple labels on the same QSL card. The drawback here is that
some stations limit their replies to 3 or 4 QSO's max; I have had to QSL
more than once just to cover all desired QSO's with some stations (a pain,
and also costly).
As to QSL managers, I'll fill their call in the VIA field in LOGIC, and also
look up & paste their address info in the log address tab (COPY from
Callbook window does this nicely). I don't, however, print QSL MGR calls on
the address labels. As I'm sorting all the labels for QSL's & address labels
to stick on envelopes, usually the QSL MGR's address shows up.
I see what you mean, though...if you have a stream of labels, it's hard to
match them, especially if you have QSL MGR addresses sprinkled in there.
Never thought about this aspect of sheets, but it's pretty easy to pair
everything up, holding QSL sheet in left hand, and holidng address sheet in
right hand.
This is not compatible with large quantities of beer. ;-)
